The Rofant Candlestick Story

The Rofant Club is a Cleveland, Ohio book club. They commissioned Sandro Bonaiuto to design a bronze candlestick to commemorate the one-hundreth anniversary of their founding.

A woodchuck is their mascot, and the candlestick was required to incorporate a representation of the woodchuck. The lighted candle casts a shadow on the flame arising from the book, and it reveals a woodchuck.

The text above the candle reads "Light seeking light doeth light of light begile," and "Love's Labors Lost" is below it. The opposite page has "The rofant club," "1892-1992," and "Cleveland, Ohio."
